Short version: we collect as little as we can, we do not use your work to train AI models, and we do not sell anything about you. The detail is below.

Who is responsible for your data
Mr Researcher is operated by Abbas Balouchi, based in Muscat, Oman. For anything relating to your data, write to info@mrresearcher.com.
What we collect, and why
- Your email address, if you give it to us Collected only when you sign up for the newsletter or a waiting list. We use it to send you what you asked for, and nothing else. Legal basis: your consent, confirmed by clicking the link in our confirmation email.
- Text you submit to a tool Reference lists, manuscripts, or search text you paste in. Used only to give you the result you asked for.
- Basic server logs Our hosting provider records standard information such as page requests, approximate location, and browser type. This is normal web hosting activity and helps keep the site running and secure.
We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not use analytics tools that follow you across other websites. If that changes, we will say so here before it takes effect.
What we never do
- We do not use your data to train AI models. Not your searches, not your reference lists, not your manuscripts — neither our own models nor anyone else’s.
- We do not sell or rent your data. Not to publishers, not to recruiters, not to pharmaceutical companies, not to data brokers.
- We do not share your email with other organisations. Signing up to our newsletter does not put you on anyone else’s list.
Who else handles your data
To run the service, we rely on a small number of providers. Each processes data only as needed to do its job:
- Hostinger Hosts the website and our email. Handles server logs and anything stored on the site.
- MailerLite Stores newsletter and waiting-list subscriptions and sends those emails. Their own privacy policy applies to data they hold.
- AI providers, for specific tasks only Where a tool needs a language model — reading a messy reference list, for example — only the text needed for that task is sent, and it is not retained for training. Which tasks these are is set out on our How our AI works page.
How long we keep things
Your email stays on our list until you unsubscribe, which you can do from the link at the bottom of every email we send. Text you submit to a tool is kept only as long as needed to return your result, unless you have an account and choose to save it — in which case you can delete it at any time. Server logs are kept for a short period as part of normal hosting operations.
Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask us what data we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you also have the right to object to processing, to ask us to restrict it, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to your national data protection authority.
To exercise any of these, email info@mrresearcher.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.
International transfers
We operate from Oman and our providers operate in several countries, so your data may be processed outside the country you live in. Where data protection law requires safeguards for those transfers, we rely on the mechanisms our providers have in place.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed for the site to work — for example, to keep you logged in if you have an account. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we ever add cookies that require your consent, we will ask first.
Children
This service is intended for researchers and professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything material here, we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects how we use data you have already given us, tell subscribers by email before it takes effect.
